HOW LONG IS A THERAPY SESSION?

Sessions are typically 50 minutes. At times, longer sessions may be recommended by your therapist, or you may request longer sessions based on your current needs. Sessions longer than 50 minutes will be arranged prior to the appointment. 

 

DO YOU ACCEPT INSURANCE?

 

We are not in-network with insurance, but if you have a PPO insurance plan you have the option to work with an out-of-network therapist. We will provide you with documentation to submit to your insurance company in order to receive reimbursement and we encourage you to contact your insurance company to confirm your reimbursement rate for individual therapy sessions. Out-of-network options may be more affordable than expected.

WHY ARE YOU NOT IN NETWORK WITH INSURANCE?

Although we understand being working with an out-of-network therapist requires an up front cost to you, there are some benefits of paying directly for your therapy services. This allows you to maintain privacy and also gives us the opportunity to determine the best course of treatment together, rather than relying on the insurance company to manage your care. Utilizing an in-network provider often requires a prior authorization from your insurance company, which includes the release of personal history and therapy session details. There is also typically a limit to the number of therapy sessions allowed by the insurance company, which can cause treatment to end before goals have been met.
